Richard Mardon

Richard is the Head of Development at Statkraft, UK, covering onshore wind, solar and grid services. He has more than 30 years’ experience in developing, financing and building power and infrastructure projects around the world, having worked and/or lived in more than 10 countries.
Richard has been in this position since August 2019 following Statkraft's acquisition of Airvolution Clean Energy which he co-founded in 2017 which was the successor to Airvolution Energy where he was the CEO since 2011.
In his roles with Airvolution Energy he oversaw the organisation as it went through the identification, development, financing and construction of 11 onshore wind projects in six years in England, Wales and Scotland. The projects are now owned by Capital Dynamics (10 no.) and Foresight (1 no.).
Richard has an MBA from the London Business School and a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Surrey.
